Mere Brow Village Hall was established in 1928, then known as Mere Brow & District Institute which provided a reading room and billiards hall.

In 1941 a bowling green was constructed and in 1972 the hall was rebuilt and became a charity – a licensed bar was added at that time.

We became known as Mere Brow Village Hall in the 1980’s. In 2000 the Village Hall was completely remodelled and greatly expanded to become and remains one of the finest Village Halls in Lancashire and an excellent venue for all life’s celebrations.
